Highlights

  • Airspace labels now share a unified palette, with distinct styling for terminal ATS roles and European airspace classes.
  • Persistent map labels are now limited to FIR/UIR, ACC/ARTCC sectors, and ADIZ, while other airspace keeps its details on hover.
  • Work began on a versioned navdata platform, with US FAA, Chinese CAAC, and Japanese JCAB sources normalized against a shared catalog contract.

Improvements

  • Established a refresh pipeline that rebuilds Japanese navdata from JCAB’s ordered update stream.
  • Introduced canonical storage for navdata sources, with release locks and verified backup retention.
  • Upgraded MapLibre GL to 6.5.0 and refreshed frontend dependencies.

Fixes

  • Improved APP sector label contrast against the basemap.
  • Made Japanese data snapshots rebuild reproducibly across environments.

In Progress

  • Normalizing German DFS, UK NATS, and Korean KOCA sources to complete six-country coverage.
  • Staging a combined navdata catalog before connecting it to map layers.
  • Defining family-specific label rules before more airspace labels return.
